The One Step Beyond Next Step Employment Developmental Program is a one-of- a-kind, progressive model that utilizes community service opportunities to teach individuals with Developmental Disability the skills they need to be successful in the competitive workplace and truly contribute to their communities. The program focuses on matching individualized interests and aptitudes to specific job opportunities, maintaining appropriate workplace behaviors through classroom teaching and on the job experience, developing employable job skills, and teaching coping strategies to overcome personal barriers to success. The Next Step Program also has a full staff of experienced and dedicated employees who provided one-on-one job coaching to all of our participants in the work program to insure a positive and profitable experience for employer and employee alike.
